Our Background

Back in 2002 we were asked by an orthodontist friend of ours who was aware of our engineering background if we were able to re-sharpen a pair of Distal End Cutters due to the expense of replacing them.

In our infancy we repaired the pliers by hand but this did not provide a repeatable method and we soon realised a repeatable process was required in order to ensure a consistent finish on every pair of pliers we sharpen.

We designed a bespoke fixture which alongside our machine has since allowed us to produce the required tolerances and finish which has ensured our customers satisfaction for 17 years.

In our infancy we aimed to sharpen 10-15 pairs of pliers weekly but we now sharpen, service or re-tip in excess of 100 pairs of pliers weekly.
